Activate Speakybara Managed
One key, pasted once per PC. After that Google's voices are simply there, with no Google account of your own.
Speakybara Managed is the same app you already have. It adds no features and unlocks no buttons: it runs the Google voices through a service we operate, so you never create a Google Cloud project, an API key or a billing account. You pay for not having to set anything up.
It is €59 a year, or €6.99 a month, both including VAT. Everything else in Speakybara stays free, and stays free if you ever stop.
From payment to a green dot
Step 1
Buy Managed
Pick yearly or monthly on the pricing page and pay. You need an email address for the licence and the invoice; there is no password to invent, sign-in works through a link we email you.
Step 2
Take the key from your email
The licence key arrives by email straight after payment and is always available on your account page as well. It looks like SPKS- followed by four blocks.
Step 3
Paste it into Speakybara
Open Speakybara and click your account at the bottom of the sidebar: the Profile page. Paste the key in the Licence key field and press Activate. The dot turns green and the line next to it says when the licence runs out.

Step 4
Select Google Cloud as the voice service
On the Models page, choose Google Cloud. Where the API key field used to be, it now says via Speakybara Managed, and the banner at the top says Active. Pick a Dutch and an English voice, and you are done.

What the licence covers
- 3 devices at the same time, for one person. Your desktop, your laptop and the machine at the office is the shape it is built for.
- Fair use is 400,000 characters a month, about 133 pages. The first 60,000 characters, about 20 pages, use the Chirp 3 HD voices; after that it continues automatically on WaveNet, which still sounds good.
- Past the monthly total, Managed pauses until the 1st. The app keeps working the whole time with the local and Edge voices, so you are never left without a voice.
- Freeing up a device is done from your account page: deactivate the old PC and activate the new one.
- Managed voices need an internet connection, like any Google voice. Offline, Speakybara falls back to the local Piper voice.
- When the licence ends, the app keeps working exactly as before with the free voices. Nothing is taken away and nothing is locked.
If something goes wrong
All 3 slots are in use. Open your account page, deactivate a PC you no longer use, and press Activeren again on this one. Slots free up immediately.
Sign in on the account page: the licence key is on it, and you can email it to yourself again. There is no password to remember; you get a sign-in link by email.
Yes, at any time. They are two ways of reaching the same Google voices. Managed replaces the API key field, so removing the licence puts your own key back in charge.
