The short version

14 days, no reason needed

Email support@speakybara.app within 14 days of your order and you get the full amount back, to the payment method you used, even if you have already listened to hours of Managed voices.

Your right of withdrawal

As a consumer in the EU you may withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days of ordering, without giving a reason. That right comes from Directive 2011/83/EU and it applies to Speakybara Managed, which is a service rather than a downloaded file.

We do not ask you to waive it at checkout, and we do not deduct anything for what you used. Using the voices during those 14 days is exactly what a trial period is for.

How to ask

Email support@speakybara.app from the address you bought with, or from your account.
Say that you are withdrawing from the purchase. One sentence is enough; you do not have to explain why.
We confirm by email and start the refund the same working day.

You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to. Any clear statement works, including a reply to your invoice email.

When you get the money back

Within 14 days of us receiving your withdrawal, and via the same payment method you used, unless you ask for something else. In practice it is the same working day on our side; how long your bank or card issuer takes after that is up to them.

Your licence stops working when the refund goes out. The app keeps working with the free voices.

Renewal and the reminder

A yearly licence renews automatically at €59, a monthly one at €6.99. Both include VAT.
We email you 30 days before every renewal, with the date and the amount. No renewal is ever a surprise.
Cancel any time from your account. Managed stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
You never pay for a period you did not want: cancel before the renewal date and nothing is charged.

After the first year

Dutch law is clear about subscriptions that renew: after the first year, a yearly subscription can be cancelled at any moment with a notice period of at most one month. We apply that to Managed.

So if you cancel in month three of your second year, Managed runs one more month and we refund the remaining months of that year pro rata. You do not have to wait for a renewal date.

What happens to the app

Nothing. Speakybara keeps doing everything it did before with the local Piper voices and the Microsoft Edge voices, both free, and with your own Google key if you set one up. Managed only ever added convenience, and losing it takes nothing away.
