Activating Complete: not possible in the app yet
In the app the subscription is called Compleet. It sits at the top of Settings, but neither the Windows nor the Mac app can activate it yet. Until they can, the free voices and your own keys do the work.
Speakybara Complete is the subscription on this website; in the app it is called Compleet, and the app describes it as Studio voices and Speakybara AI in one subscription, without keys of your own. The app has no field for a licence key yet, so there is nothing to paste or activate.
This page gets its steps back as soon as the app can activate the subscription. Nothing else in Speakybara waits for it: the app is free to use, forever, with every feature in it.
What you can do now
Step 1
See where Compleet sits
Open Speakybara and choose Settings. The Compleet banner is at the top; More about Compleet opens a page with what it includes and what it shares with others. The same page is behind the row Compleet under Settings › About Speakybara.
Step 2
Read the line about activating
At the bottom of that page the app says the subscription cannot be activated in the app yet. The button See what it costs opens the pricing page in your browser; nothing changes in the app.
Step 3
Until then: pick a voice and an AI
Under Settings › Voice, Natural is free and works offline, Microsoft Edge needs no key (Windows only), and Studio gives you Google's best voices with a key of your own. For quick actions, connect an AI of your own under Settings › AI for tasks.
Worth knowing
- Speakybara AI, the AI that belongs to Compleet, is listed under Settings › AI for tasks as well, but cannot be chosen yet. See Compleet next to it leads to the same page.
- A Google key of your own gives you the same Studio voices today, at Google's prices, with a free amount every month. The guide on your own Google Cloud key walks through it.
- It is the same on the Mac: its Compleet page says the subscription cannot be activated in the Mac app yet.
- Nothing is locked while you wait. Every feature of the app works without the subscription.
If something goes wrong
Nowhere yet: the app has no field for it. Keep the key; it also stays on your account page. As soon as the app can activate it, this guide says where it goes.
Yes, completely. Reading aloud, the hotkeys, History, notes and the quick actions all work without it; the voices and the AI are then the free ones or your own.
